yz 125 problem

plug has been coming out wet and its been struggling to start the past few days so had a good look today and realised the o-ring headgasket had stretched massively causing a blow so coolant has been leaking in may have been the reason all along! wasnt a massive leak just enough leaking for it to be a bitch! thats a brand new headgasket though the second one in a few weeks so either my head needs skimming or theres too much compression right??

Well that isnt the reason that your carb is pissing fuel. Needs to be addressed obviously. those are pretty forgiving, but checking it for the warp that Palmer metions is kind of an every build type of thing. you can check it with about any flat surface that is at least glass flat. I used to use a jewelry store front case about 6 a.m. for instance. you can use it several ways. you can get some glass wet, put the head on it, press it down with your fingers and look on the underside. if it is clean you can see places where water with a little bit of food coloring is getting past the metal or into the jackets.

look at your head studs when you remove them and see if any aluminum is coming out. you can hold tork when cold and lose it hot if the threads are in bad shape.

yeah I no sorted the leaky carb now, will check for warp in the head when im home from work but would the high comoression cause it at all because when the oiston is at its tdc its perfectly inline with the top of the cylinder? wondering if I need another base gasket down

No. If your piston is hitting the head when it revs out. It sure will. Hence my earlier question about clearance. No signs of that is there?
