yz 250 too much power?

Hey guys I recently found a nice yz 250 on Craigslist for a good price and I'm wondering if it'd be to big for me.
I'm 5'10 145 pounds and I have a pretty good amount of riding experience. I currently ride a yfz 450 and I'm getting sick of atvs... when I was younger I owned a ttr-90 so I have some experience with driving a dirt bike.

My son soaking wet is 145, and about an inch shorter than you. He has been on a 250 for the last three years when he had to one foot everything. You'll be fine.

I just trade my yfz 450 for it. It's a blast, I love when you just barely twist the throttle and it goes.

I just got a similar low time 2002. I have yz125's too. The only thing I feel the newer ones have on ours is suspension. Forks in particular. If I learned anything from the 125's it is not to spend any money other than springs if you need it for your weight/application. Anything beyond that get different forks.
