chump riders

hey guys I was calling this guy a squid (not cause im an asshole, but bc he was insulting me) and he had no idea what a 'squid' was. it means bad rider where I come from. A rider who has way too much chrome and shining billet aluminum on his bike and just rides in the parking lot. Theres a reason my bike looks trashed sometimes, I actually ride it haha, on some questionable terrain to ultimately make my riding skills better. Anyway, was wondering what you guys in other states call squids. Noobs, rookies, C-class riders, amatuers, what you guys got for names? By the way im not full of myself, I know there are way more skilled riders than I but id like to think I got more skills than the parking lot hopefully....

posers but its not about their skill level. i dont give a fuck what skill your riding is at ... as long as you ride. just dont be a faker and say you are fast when you are not. be upfront about the skill level you are at when riding with others. for their safety and your own.

I ride where ever i can, so i ride track, trail, beach, whatever. But I've taken a few of the track queens on the trail before, quite often they whine, about being cold, tired, need a break, hungry, they never come prepared, use my water my tools,my plugs etc. end up going back to the truck before the rides hardly began......I've just called them pussies. But I will be paying attention to what others come up with for names, I'd like something more original.

Amen I also have noticed a lot of track riders can't hack the trail

One time unloading at the track, I was talking about how I needed to get some trail time in, he told me trail riding was for kids, and the track was for real dudes, I told him he was nuts and the track was an amusement ride.
I know I could make that guy cry.

ah yes the good ol "trails and off road racing are for those who can't jump"

The fastest rider I personally know (he qualified for Red Bud about 6 years ago before personal issues came around) won't touch off road, not because he still thinks that, but because he tried it and told us we were nuts. It is one thing to go sight seeing in 3rd gear on a clear sunday afternoon, it is another to hammer down over un groomed terrain.

i had a guy who is fairly new to 2 wheels tell me. " i just can not believe the speeds that you guys navigate that terrain" and im not even fast. Its all about how hard you push it. i could go out with the kids and never even get my heart rate up(as long as i dont watch my own son get squirrely) but try to keep up with someone faster then me... that is a whole nother game right there.
