250F Wr250 throttle issues

okay recently my carburetor was leaking gas when I drove it . I cleaned the whole carb and now it doesn't leak out the drain tubes and fixed the issues the new problem is when the bike starts up in neutral and you start to pull the throttle down fast the bike shuts off . It seems to not be responsive and will only rev if you go slow also when you drive the bike and you let off the gas the bike seems to want to die and is very sluggish . Some times when I'm about to come to a complete start it will stall out before I can get it into neutral . It's a 2003 wr250. Would like to see if I can fix it myself before spending lots of money for a dealership to fix it. Thx

Sounds like it is running out of fuel, If the bike was running well before the flooding issue and the problem started after you went thru the carb, I'd revisit there, first look at the float, make sure it is set properly. If it is then recheck the carb for plugged jets or anything you may have missed the first time.also make sure there are no air leaks around the carb.

Something went wrong when you reassembled the carb.
Open up you service manual to the carbs exploded view and assembly page to verify everything is there and installed in the correct order. Also, set your float height while you are in there. :thumb:

I remember I soaked everything and when I put the carb back together when I started the bike out side I remember between the very bottom off the carb the seal was leaking sum gas between the seam for it little bit then dried up . Doesn't do it now is that just because the gas or carburetor cleaner was trapped between the two pieces of carburetor or there is an air leak because the seal was damaged when I soaked it in Yamaha carb cleaner .
