Heading into the final round of EnduroCross in Ontario, California, Cody Webb held a 13 point lead in the overall points standings. Max Gerston headed into the round in fifth overall in points, just a mere four points ahead of Mike Brown. In Ontario, a course mixed with large rocks, logs, water, tractor tires, and some more technical jumps challenged the racers.

Webb finished second and took the Championship!

In Ontario, Webb stayed consistent like he did all year to finish second and claimed his first Geico EnduroCross Championship aboard his Beta 300 RR. Webb comments, "In the main I started behind Taddy and Colton and didn't want to battle with them and possibly crash. I was patient and held back the whole race and with a few laps to go, Colton went down handing me second. It was an amazing accomplishment and I can't thank everyone enough for their support this year. It's been an incredible four years with Beta USA."

"Coming into this race I only had a four point lead over Brown for fifth in the series." says Max Gerston. "It was my goal to maintain fifth in the series and have a strong run for the final race. I qualified straight into the main out of my heat race. I got stuck a couple times in the rocks and ended up 8th which was more than enough to secure my spot for 5th in the series. My 350 RR ran great all year and I am stoked to be with Beta again next year."

Max Gerston added his Beta to fifth overall in the series!

Alan Stillwell, Team Manager for Beta USA, comments on the season saying, "The season was fantastic, and to end it with a championship and a Top 5 overall is more than a team manager can ask for! I want to thank Beta USA, Cody and Max for an incredible three years together. I will be providing suspension, testing and technical advice to the team next year and I'm excited to be able to watch from the stands at some of these!"

In the Amateur ranks, Ty Cullins took a TrialCross win and the overall championship for the year. In his Open Amateur race, a first turn crash set him back but he successfully fought his way back to third overall. Cullins reflects, "After winning four rounds this year in the TrialCross class I was able to get the championship. I had a crash in the first corner when I got ran into from behind but I was able to get into the lead and take the win."

Looking forward, Beta USA will prepare for the first round of the SuperEnduro World Championships in Poland on December 6th with their newest rider, Kyle Redmond.

I like seeing bike companies that make up what's considered the small market, do well in competition, I'm always hoping that enough of this will bring back what we had in the 70's with CZ, Hodaka,Bultaco,Penton, Husky, and so on being familiar sites only to be spent out of competition by the big 4, and not just MX but enduro, desert, cross country.....I remember as a kid with so many different bikes makes models, it was a great time, I'm hoping that company's like Beta can break into the mainstream market maybe others would follow, I'm always wanting more choices

The way I hear is:
Beta likes being in the light but still wants to only cater to the smaller crowd. More like a boutique moto company than mainstream. As long as they sell every bike they build every year and cater to the BYOB they are very happy. For 2014 they didn't 50 state the 400 RS because CARB wants 25,000.00 per model and they just do not sell that many bikes in CA. This shithole of a state is Fing the economy just by stupid laws. BIG deal, a couple bikes that don't push as little smoke as others... :banghead: AZ baby...Heading to AZ...

I've heard that Beta is like that...no matter, I'm always pulling for the non big 4 ( I guess big 5 now that KTM is one of the big boys), just wanna see like in the glory days when they had a dozen different makes on the world stage. I can always hope righ?

well, if the Japs aren't careful they're going to suffer the same thing they did to the euro's many decades ago.

Focusing on MX only will be their undoing! And yes, no real R&D in the 2 strokes, hell, only yamaha still makes a 2t.

Your preaching to the choir......I don't want anyone to go away, but I guess if Honda did I wouldn't be sad, cept then I wouldn't have anyone to hate....oh well.....and yeah, the only reason the Jap companies backed off or did away with the smoker is just because of MX.

Like Red Bull and Monster. They taste like Cow ass but people keep buying it and/or eating it up.

Honda
Yamaha
Kawasaki
Suzuki
KTM
What's left

Well, not that I have ever personally had my lips and taste buds on a cows ass I ASS U ME that when living on a farm in Kansas as a young lad for a year or so, the taste you had in your mouth after the long days of bringing the cows home to milk twice would be about the same as one of them so called "energy" drinks.

Yeah.....my dog tried some once....spent the next 20 minutes licking its own butt hole trying to get the taste outa his mouth. My energy drink is black coffee.
