4 Stroke Fixing my sheered bolt KTM

Yo,

About 3 weeks ago I managed to sheer a bolt on my oil filter housing cover on my sxf250

Been absolutely s******g my self about it while I've been working away, bought some easy outs etc.

Anyway managed to get it out this morning, bit of a bugger! Didn't damage any of the threads either! Replaced with a shiny new orange cap and new bolts!

Calling those extractors an "easy out" is probably the biggest lie I can think of.

Just wait till you bust an extractor off inside the hollowed out bolt. Try drilling through those!

Sometimes I still do things like that. Or you kill the engine on your pickup in traffic, start it back up and leave smoking lots of money. My wife got tired of asking me if I felt better afterwards. Either that or she figured out I was always going to say "YES!".

easy outs are too difficult for me, so if I can, I make use of the welder and find fun ways to extract broken bolts.

You can't spend too much money on tools for extracting broken bolts, renewing threads,and whatnot, I almost never spend more than a half hour dealing with broken bolts. And "easy outs" only become usefull about 10% of the time, and yes I have broken those fuckers off in the hole before, that's when you get out the high speed carbide bits.
