Corner Technique

great pic to show someone horrible form. llok at that left toe... look at the right foot. look where he is looking... look at arms ...
On the contrary; left toe/foot is on the outside peg, he's sitting on the outside edge, he's looking ahead past the exit, and elbows are up. The reason it looks so goofy is because he's sliding the back tire through the corner. Here's another of him.

cool fucking shot tho and you sure have been getting good. time to set the camera down and :ride: cause you are getting way better at one of those 2 activity's :smirk:
I'm just giving the other guys time to shake off the winter cobwebs and get their speed back. You know give them a fighting chance and all. :smirk::stirthepot:

Nah I'd promised myself that I wouldn't get the bike out until some things are finished (and I get my tax return), otherwise it'll never get done. Thankfully we're almost to that point.:ride:

from what i see in the pic... he is looking at you not the end of the turn... i guess it could just be angles messing with me but it dont look like hes looking through the corner to me. I was always told you should never be on your toe on the peg like that. Also been reading articles here and there on foot position... like you showed me a long time ago ... that off foot should be up by the front tire not out. Also recently read that your toe should point towards your tire. its the same concepty as your head in the corner... it forces weight on the outside peg. i started paying atytention and a lot of pro photo's and vid they do infact point that toe inwards.

the pic could be very deciving but thats what it looks like :P

I'm about 3ish feet from the edge of the track on the exit of the corner (right in the kill zone ). Which is why it looks like he's looking at me.

And yes you typically put the foot out, however that's usually not the case when you slide through a corner like that. Go check out some flat track footage to see what I mean. This photo is actually a good example of the "turn left to go right" phrase/technique. Notice that his front wheel is actually turned left?

The 'turn your toe in' is one of those 'pro secrets' that's slowly making it's way to the amateur level. :thumb:

Somewhere I have a shot of Dungey that shows another great technique for coming up/into a corner. Can't seem to find it on here, I'll check my pc tonight. :thumb:

Here is my corner technique...or should I say prepping for the corner.
