guess you didn't get the "not really" part

Dude.....:naughty:
Why you gotta be such a prick?
Guy comes on a "motorcycle forum" and spills his heart out about his "motorcycle" and getting back into dirt, and you go and stab it to see if it bleeds.. :poke:

Geeze, the guys (Jaxi) on here and their opinions... :P

You know I love you long time...

J/K, REALLY!!!

Those particular bikes were not known for being the most reliable, though the 450's weren't as problematic as the 250's.

You will need to keep close tabs on your valve clearances, don't worry, its not that big of a job to check and shim them, however, once you start having to shim them know that they are on their way out and its time to spend the money either on stainless steel valves, or, so I've heard, a head from fastheads with the beryllium seats.

As long as it holds clearance it doesn't matter who or what. I got turned to Fastheads by a man who had his first crfx head built by the same man who built them for HRC. He found out you don't want one set up to race clearance after all. (Seems that when they assemble those with loose guides to prevent drag those valves go bad in about 120 minutes! Who knew?). You kind of have to be careful what you ask for. Anyway some guy that calls Leroy "desert Dad" told him to see this guy in Utah named Brent about doing the next head. 200 plus hours on the next valve job, shimmed before it sold was quite a change.
