After minor fall bike stalled out, won't start again

I have a Atomik Nitrous 150cc pit bike.

I was riding at about 20kmph when my front wheel lost traction on loose dirt and caused me to fall off.
It was a pretty low speed crash into the dirt but my clutch lever perch/holder snapped off.

However the bike seemed to run fine. So i figured I'd ride it back to the trailer.
About a few minutes later the bike started stalling on me, no matter how much gas I gave it it had no effect and it just sputtered and died.
Now I can't start it up at all. It acts like the kill switch is on.

Any ideas on what the problem might be?
I checked the usual, kill switch, unclean fuel, choke, spark plug.

I just noticed no oil in the bike. There may have been a leak prior to the fall.
How exactly does an engine fail/sieze when you're riding it with no oil?

WELCOME!

To check the killswitch , unplug one wire from it. That will ensure a 'run' configuration.
Perhaps clean the carburetor, it may have become plugged or the petcock may have become plugged. Check for fuel at the carburetor.

Let us know! -BIG DAN:thumb:

Is everyone ignoring the fact that he said the bike had no oil in it. How long were you riding it before it started acting up?

Not sure. Maybe a day or 2. At most 8 hours.

Finally got time to rule them out. Any other ideas?
I was thinking maybe a cracked piston/ring. Does that sound like something that could happen?

Check the compression, if you have a problem with the piston or rings, it will
Be reflected in the compression test. But it sounds from what you described maybe more of a fuel problem. I'm also worried about the no oil thing also. But the sputtering deal sounds like fuel.

I think I would check your valve clearances and see if you have worn the cam or rockers to the point you valve timing is way off. Ditto on the timing chain, which is easy to check while you are checking clearances. the chain may have stretched to the point that it, as they say, jumped timing.

Looks like it has enough compression to run.

Be sure fuel will run out of the fuel tank... (Add new FRESH fuel)
Pull carb apart and make sure the float isn't stuck. (i've seen carbs that the floats will bind shut with weird drops)
Be sure the carb can breath in air
Be sure exhaust isn't plugged

I've already taken it apart and cleaned it.
I think the problem may be piston rings. Oil was burning up way too quick that's why I didn't realise I was running dry as I had just filled it up the previous week.
I'll give the other suggestions a go before I open up the top end.
