17" Supermoto Wheels?

Hiya.
I was thinking just before. If it would be worth me getting 17" wheels with a cush drive already on them? I heading towards getting an 18" laced up with a cush hub, but for a little extra, I'm wondering if its just worth getting the 17's instead.
It works out to almost the same price as getting a hub costs to lace up, etc.

Question is though, can you get tyres that are 50/50 dirt/road or 30/70 for them, front and rear? the rear rim width would be 5" and front 3.5"
and how would the 17's go on the dirt, even with knobby tyres if they are available? I will still be using the bike for dirt bike riding also. I don't do too aggressive dirt riding, but I also don't do anything too basic. Somewhere in the middle.

And lastly, will I also have to change to a supermoto sprocket and brake rotors to fit the wheels? Or can I just use my current disc rotors and sprocket? and how does fitment go with the front caliper?...any fiddling around needed? because it's nearly touching the spokes from my 2.15x21" wheel!

I have done this before... factory rear cush hub off of a LC4 bike. If you use stock size rotors on them it will all work as far as the brakes. There are full knobbies avail and 30/70 tires as well. Due to smaller rear wheel diameter you will have to change gearing to get your speed back and will need a longer chain, so this becomes a pain if changing back and forth frequently. You will also have to re-program the ODO head unit for the smaller size front wheel for the speedo. This isn't too bad to do and the instructions are on KTMTALK under speedo section if I remember right. And lastly, I would not get the 5" rear rim, I would go thinner cuz it is a pain to get the rear on n off the swingarm as it hits the chain guide bolts and caliper. Thinner is better.

All that's available is the 5" rim :( in the ones I'm looking at which have a sale price.

The wheels will be staying on, not going to be swapping them.
The 5" should still fit though right? Because that's the same size as the stock 2004 LC4 640 wheel.

yes it fits, just have to remove the chain guide to get it on and I remember having to leave one of the three bolts out so it wouldn't rub. I have an 06 525 EXC and I used 14-45 gearing with SM wheels on it.
